Houston , Texas - 10 March 2008 - Control Dynamics International (CDI) and
SENSYS announced today an agreement to embed the IntelliMAX ™ real-time data management
platform in offshore industrial automation systems. CDI is a leading supplier of
industrial automation systems for the energy industry, and SENSYS develops and markets
advanced software solutions for real-time data management. The initial application
of the IntelliMAX product by CDI will be the control system for a hydraulic workover
unit being designed and built by CDI for a major offshore production facility in
the Gulf of Mexico . "We selected IntelliMAX by SENSYS because of its advanced technology
over other human-machine interfaces," says Van Wilson, President of CDI. "IntelliMAX
has clearly been designed for high performance and integrity, something our oil
and gas clients require. IntelliMAX comes bundled with a complete set of OPC-based
interfaces, which can be readily used without additional development. The scalability
of the product was also a factor in our decision as our clients require systems
that can be easily expanded as needed over time." "While IntelliMAX is already in
use in both upstream and downstream applications, the advanced, turn-key solutions
from CDI provide IntelliMAX with new market opportunities," says Sohail Qadir, President
of SENSYS. "Our partnership with CDI offers our customers an option to obtain system
integration and consulting services to ensure the success of their projects. We
are quite pleased to have CDI as a value-added reseller of IntelliMAX."
Founded in 1991 in Houston, Texas, CDI ( www.ControlDynamics.com ) has grown to
be a recognized industry leader in designing and implementing some of the largest,
most advanced control solutions for all segments of the hydrocarbon supply chain;
upstream, midstream and downstream. CDI has completed over 1,000 process control
projects worldwide, including Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic
Controllers (PLC) and Hybrid Distributed Control Systems. CDI employs certified
Professional Engineers (PE's) and Project Management Professionals (PMP's), degreed
in electrical engineering, computer science and chemical engineering. As an ISO
9001:2000 certified company, the CDI project methodology encompasses all project
phases, including design, life-cycle cost analysis, systems and equipment selection,
software development, quality control procedures, and supporting business processes.
These rigorous processes and procedures help to assure that projects are on-time,
on-budget, and meet the high reliability requirements of the energy industry.
