INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking an Instrument Design Engineer to work on the plant with one our esteemed Petrochemical Clients in KSA. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Instrument Design Engineer with expertise in flow control instruments and valves, capable of delivering detailed engineering, sizing, and selection for critical process applications. What You’ll Lead and Deliver

  • Prepare and review instrument data sheets and technical specifications for control valves and flow measurement instruments.
  • Perform valve sizing using industry-standard tools such as Fisher Specification Manager, Emerson ValveLink, and Siemens PDM.
  • Develop and maintain the Instrument Index, I/O List, and instrument hook-up drawings.
  • Prepare instrument location layouts, installation drawings, and related documentation.
  • Generate technical requisitions, conduct vendor Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), and coordinate with suppliers throughout the procurement process.
  • Ensure all instrumentation designs comply with project specifications and applicable international standards, including ISA, IEC, API 6D / API 6A, ISO 5167, and ASME B16.34.
  • Collaborate closely with piping, mechanical, and process engineering teams to integrate valve sizing and flow measurement data into overall system design.
  • Prepare Material Take-Offs (MTOs), loop diagrams, and termination schedules related to flow control devices.
  • Participate in P&ID reviews, HAZOP studies, and Control Philosophy discussions to ensure safe and effective system operation.

Requirements

To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Control Engineering (or related discipline).
  • Proven experience of 4 - 5 Years in instrumentation engineering, with hands-on experience in control valves (globe, butterfly, ball) and flow measurement systems.
  • Strong knowledge of international standards and industry best practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary project environments.
  • Strong documentation, coordination, and communication skills.
