INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic Wellhead and Skids Solutions team. This role is pivotal in supporting Modular Skid Packages, Wellhead Control Panels, and Pressure Regulation Systems to enhance the safe and efficient operation of oil and gas systems. What You’ll Lead and Deliver 

  • Execute FEED and detailed engineering design activities for brownfield and greenfield Oil & Gas projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
  • Perform and review piping stress analysis, including preparation of piping flexibility and stress reports, nozzle load calculations, and pipe support load analysis to support design documentation and approvals.
  • Oversee and approve material selection for piping systems, structures, valves, and buildings in line with process requirements, operational conditions, and industry standards.
  • Select, design, and review static and rotary equipment, including pressure vessels, shell-and-tube heat exchangers, storage tanks, pumps, and compressors.
  • Conduct design reviews for packaged skids, including piping stress, structural integrity, and interface coordination with other disciplines.
  • Provide hands-on engineering support in piping layout, instrumentation, and fabrication, ensuring constructability and adherence to design intent.
  • Carry out technical bid evaluations and comparative analyses for vendors and subcontractors; support proposal development, tenders, and bidding processes when required.
  • Manage project procurement activities, including vendor coordination, technical clarifications, and alignment with project cost and schedule objectives.
  • Monitor and control project costs, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Manage vendors and subcontractors, ensuring effective inter-discipline coordination and timely resolution of technical or execution-related conflicts.
  • Review and manage change orders, assessing technical impact, cost, and schedule implications.
  • Build and lead goal-oriented engineering and project teams, ensuring delivery of project objectives related to quality, safety, schedule, and cost.

Requirements

To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have: 

  • Master's or Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering
  • Hands-on experience in piping stress analysis and design reviews.
  • Aspiring candidate must have 3 - 5 years of hands-on experience with static and rotary equipment, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pumps, and compressors.
  • Gulf experience would be preferred.
  • Must have an experience in integration & commissioning of mechanical equipment (skids is preferred).
  • CADWorx, CAESAR II, STAAD Pro, Tekla, AutoCAD.
