INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking a Business Development Lead - Electrical Systems to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in supporting E-House Solutions across industries such as Oil & Gas (Upstream, Midstream, Downstream), Petrochemicals, and Utilities. What You’ll Lead and Deliver

Strategic Business Development

  • Develop and execute BD strategy for electrical systems across upstream, midstream, and downstream O&G clients.
  • Identify and cultivate new revenue streams aligned with INTECH’s LV/MV distribution systems, e-houses, UPS solutions, drives, and substation automation offerings.
  • Maintain a structured opportunity pipeline with defined qualification, forecasting, and conversion plans.

Technical Sales Leadership

  • Lead technical qualification and solution alignment for: MV/LV Power Distribution Systems, E-houses and modular electrical buildings ,UPS (AC/DC), drives & motor control systems, Protection & Substation Automation systems, Electrical commissioning and integration services
  •   Translate client requirements into optimized technical-commercial proposals and BOQs.

Client Engagement & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as key technical-commercial interface for operators, EPCs, and industrial clients.
  • Conduct solution workshops, presentations, and bid clarification meetings.
  • Build long-term strategic relationships based on consultative engagement.

Field Coordination & Site Support

  • Conduct site surveys, electrical assessments, and pre-bid technical evaluations.
  • Support FAT/SAT, commissioning coordination, and project mobilization when required.
  • Ensure compliance with client HSE and electrical standards.

Market Intelligence & Competitive Positioning

  • Track market developments, procurement cycles, and competitive activity.
  • Provide structured reporting on pipeline status, opportunity conversion, and margin trends.
  • Recommend portfolio enhancements based on client feedback and industry direction.

Partnership & Channel Management

  • Coordinate with OEMs, vendors, and internal engineering teams to ensure solution alignment and delivery readiness.
  • Maintain channel discipline to avoid fragmented bidding and unauthorized intermediary involvement.
  • Strengthen alliance relationships supporting the Electrical Product Unit growth.

Bidding & Solution Support

  • Lead and coordinate end-to-end bid preparation for electrical scope, including technical documentation, compliance matrices, cost inputs, and risk identification.
  • Work closely with engineering and procurement teams to develop competitive and technically robust proposals.
  • Support commercial structuring, pricing strategy, and margin optimization during tender submission.
  • Participate in technical bid clarification meetings and post-bid negotiations.
  • Ensure smooth handover from bid phase to project execution with complete technical and commercial alignment.

Requirements

To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.Eng / B.Sc / HND equivalent).
  • 8+ years of experience in Business Development or Technical Sales within the Electrical Systems domain, in Nigeria’s Oil & Gas sector within Electrical Solutions domain.
  • Demonstrated experience in selling and supporting Electrical System.
